A report released today by ENOUGH Co-Chair, John Prendergast, and Save Darfur Coalition President, Jerry Fowler, outlines the urgent steps that must be taken to create a peace to keep in Darfur, in part using the model of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) that ended the decades-long war in southern Sudan.

"The Darfur crisis cannot be managed piecemeal," says Prendergast. "Efforts toward peace and protection must move forward hand in hand. Without a viable peace process the peacekeeping mission will ultimately fail." Meanwhile, peace throughout the entire country of Sudan is equally dependent on a much more vigorous effort to implement the CPA.
